"Matt Shaw's homer left the bat at just 95.2 MPH and traveled only 355 feet, resulting in an xBA in .070. But it was still a homer in 28/30 ballparks."
"Dansby Swanson's homer was hit a little harder at 100.6 MPH and traveled a little farther at 380 feet, but actually would have left only 25 ballparks according to Statcast."
During a Cubs doubleheader against the Guardians, Matt Shaw and Dansby Swanson both hit their first home runs of the season. Shaw's homer traveled 355 feet at 95.2 MPH, which would have been a homer in 28 out of 30 ballparks, but not at Wrigley Field. Swanson's homer was hit harder at 100.6 MPH and traveled 380 feet, but would have only left 25 ballparks according to Statcast. Fortunately, Progressive Field was one of those parks.
