"House 144° is positioned lightly above the terrain, preserving existing trees and topography while adopting a minimal-impact strategy that allows the ground to remain largely untouched."
"The construction system is based on a dry assembly process, combining prefabricated timber elements with industrial materials, resulting in a lightweight structure that supports the house."
"Openings are cut into the steel facade as large frameless apertures, reducing the visual presence of the building within the landscape and enhancing the connection to nature."
House 144° is a single-story, nearly zero-energy residence designed for a retired couple on a steep hillside in Maresme. The design preserves the natural landscape by avoiding excavation and maintaining existing trees. The house features a unique 144° angle layout, with a lightweight structure that cantilevers over the slope. Constructed using prefabricated timber and industrial materials, the building has a galvanised steel envelope with large openings that blend it into the surroundings. The interior spaces are organized simply, enhancing the connection to the landscape.
