The Ballmer Group donated $77 million to Cal State LA and California State University, Dominguez Hills to enhance mental health services. Cal State LA received $48 million to train over 1,000 counselors and social workers, addressing the youth mental health crisis in East L.A. The donation will double the capacity of its social work programs and support scholarships. CSUDH received $29 million to launch Toros Heal L.A., focusing on building a culturally responsive mental health workforce through scholarships and training support.
