Yasser Valdes Herrera has been promoted to president of Americasa, a division of Nationwide Mortgage Bankers. Based in Miami, he previously served as vice president. Herrera's leadership aims to support the Hispanic community in homeownership through education and advocacy. He joined the company in 2022 as a loan officer and quickly advanced. Under his leadership, Americasa has expanded its presence in Florida and other states. The Hispanic community significantly contributed to homeownership growth, with a net gain of 441,000 households in 2025, according to the National Association.
