Gang of Four share new song "No Kings Here!," touring with Downtown Boys around Solid Sound Festival
"They're locking up the children and the brown skinned refugees. They're rewriting the future and they're never saying please. They cable tie the youth and they make up alibis. They're murdering the truth and they're faking all the lies."
"Musically, this is pure Gang of Four, with Ted Leo doing his best Andy Gill-style angular guitar, somewhere between 'Anthrax' and 'What We All Want,' with the kind of backbone only drummer Hugo Burnham could provide."
Gang of Four, after their 2025 farewell tour, released a new song titled 'No Kings Here!' featuring their 2025 lineup. The song addresses social issues, with lyrics highlighting the plight of children and refugees. Musically, it retains the band's signature style, with Ted Leo emulating Andy Gill's guitar work. Additionally, the band is set to perform at Wilco's Solid Sound festival and other Northeast locations in June 2026, alongside Downtown Boys, who are also releasing a new album.
