""He's as happy as a clam," Holeman said. "He loves to play." According to Pasadena Humane, dogs who lose their noses for medical reasons can still go on to heal well and enjoy a quality life."
""He really enjoys his food and does not have any trouble eating," Holeman said. Peanut cannot smell, but caregivers say that limitation does not appear to be stopping him from adjusting to his new surroundings."
Peanut, a 2.5-month-old puppy, was rescued in Pasadena with life-threatening facial injuries, including a dislocated jaw and loss of most of his nose. Despite these challenges, he has shown a positive attitude and enjoys playing and eating. Although he cannot smell, he is adapting well to his environment. Peanut is currently under the care of Pasadena Humane, which is providing treatment and observation until he is ready for adoption. A fundraiser for his care has exceeded its goal.
