Two episodes of Doctor Who, The Nightmare Begins and Devil's Planet, have been recovered after being lost since 1965. These episodes are part of The Daleks' Master Plan, a 12-part adventure written by Terry Nation. The recovery was made by Film is Fabulous, a charitable trust. The original 16mm telerecordings have been restored and made available on iPlayer. A special screening for actor Peter Purves revealed the episodes, which also mark the first appearance of Nicholas Courtney's character, Bret Vyon.
