Ace Frehley's 1975 Gibson Les Paul is set to be auctioned for $400,000 to $600,000 at Julien's Auctions in May.
In a recent interview with the New York Post, Simmons said of Frehley's passing, "He refused [advice] from people that cared about him - including yours truly - to try to change his lifestyle. In and out of bad decisions. Falling down the stairs - I'm not a doctor - doesn't kill you. There may have been other issues, and it breaks my heart."
According to a post on Frehley's Facebook page, the rock guitar legend had to cancel a show as part of his 10,000 Volts Tour on a doctor's order after suffering a "minor fall" in his recording studio. "Dear Rock Soldiers, Ace had a minor fall in his studio, resulting in a trip to the hospital," the post reads. "He is fine, but against his wishes, his doctor insists that he refrain from travel at this time.
