Alabama has a +265 scoring differential, topping opponents by 8.5 points per game. It is putting up 92.1 points per game to rank first in college basketball and is giving up 83.6 per contest to rank 356th in college basketball. The 92.1 points the Crimson Tide average are 16.6 more than the Rebels concede.
Since last year, more than 100 schools have ended partnerships with the PhD Project, a group founded in 1994 to diversify the pipeline of students who aspire to become business school professors. That came after the U.S. Department of Education last March announced probes into 45 universities that partnered with the group. More than a dozen of those schools have quietly reached agreements with the administration to resolve the investigations.
The bill has been referred to the House Universities and Colleges Committee for review. If signed into law, the bill would merge the Mississippi Delta and Coahoma community college districts, the East Mississippi and Meridian community college districts, and the Copiah-Lincoln and Southwest Mississippi community college districts by July 2027. The move would reduce the number of community colleges in the state from 15 to 12.
Toby Arquette, vice president for strategic growth, marketing and digital transformation at St. Ambrose University in Iowa, will become president of Columbia College, headquartered in Missouri, starting March 1. Matt Baker, vice president of student affairs at Northwest Missouri State University, has been named president of Emporia State University in Kansas, effective March 2. Scott Beardsley, dean of the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, has been named president of the university, effective Jan. 1.
