The BlackShield film is not nearly as big of a deal as it seems unless you're playing in a room dominated by studio lights.

nubia's upcoming slim yet powerful RedMagic 11 Air will feature a 6.85-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It will also offer a 95.1% screen-to-body ratio, an under-display selfie camera, 2,592Hz PWM dimming, and 1.25mm thin bezels. The handset features a curved rear transparent panel with an RGB logo and a triple camera setup. The phone will be offered in Aurora Silver, Stardust White, and Quantum Black.

Leaked images of the device show it attached to both a keyboard and controllers, with a hinge in the middle of the POLED display, allowing it to unfold from 7.7 inches to 11.6 inches. Users can attach the controllers with the display folded or unfolded, use the display in a vertical split screen mode, or attach it to the keyboard for laptop mode, for a total of four different form factors rolled into one device.

Asus has hit the Consumer Electronics Show show floor with a brand-new set of Extended Reality glasses. Developed in partnership with Xreal, the Asus ROG Xreal R1 packs an impressive amount of technology into a slim frame for your face, allowing you to stream video directly to your eyes via a USB-C connection. Internally, the Asus ROG Xreal R1 features 240Hz micro-OLED 1080p lenses, and it comes with an ROG Control Dock for HDMI and DisplayPort connectivity.

Lenovo has brought a slew of updates to its Legion and LOQ line of gaming laptops for CES 2026. The refreshed laptops are all built around Nvidia RTX 50-series GPUs. The new Legion 7a is both thinner and lighter than the previous generation and is aimed at gamers, creators, and working professionals. Lenovo says the new 7a will be powered by AMD Ryzen AI 400 CPUs and RTX 50-series GPUs, delivering up to 125W of total system power.

A keyboard is more than the sum of its parts. To have a truly great typing experience, a lot has to come together-each aspect of a keyboard needs to be designed (or selected) with the rest of it in mind. The ROG Delta II is a universal wireless headset with support for PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch consoles as well as PC and mobile devices. Depending on the device, the headset can connect via 2.4GHz and/or Bluetooth. The Delta II supports simultaneous audio streams, so the headset can be synced to your phone via Bluetooth and your console/PC via 2.4GHz. You can also use it as wired headset with the detachable 3.5mm audio cable.

In the one and only image that was shared with The Verge, the ROG Xreal R1 gaming glasses look like cyberpunk aviators. There's an LED strip on the stem to indicate... something. Perhaps battery life, or something previously unquantifiable, like leetness. Either way, the stems seem quite a bit thicker than those on the 1S, and whatever tech the companies are cramming inside may be necessary to allow for their marquee feature: a 240Hz refresh rate. These are apparently the first to double the normal 120Hz refresh rate that's common in AR glasses today.

There's no shortage of handheld gaming PCs to choose from lately, but the Steam Deck has been a popular option thanks in part to its operating system. SteamOS works far better than Windows on these machines, and fortunately, it's available on another device: Lenovo's Legion Go 2. The company recently rolled out the Legion Go S with SteamOS, but for anyone looking for a handheld with more heavy-duty hardware--and Switch-like controllers--the Legion Go 2 has been a solid option.

Going into CES with a Windows on Arm laptop running an unreleased processor sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Kicking off the list is the LG Gram Pro 17, which could be one of the most intriguing Windows laptops of 2026 thanks to a new material called Aerominum. Developed in-house, Aeronium is designed to reduce weight while maintaining structural durability. It allows the laptop to remain ultraportable without feeling fragile. LG even claims that it will be the world's lightweight RTX laptop.
