We did our best to maximize the efficiency of the menu and the equipment to keep wait times down. We have also planned ahead with some extra power outlets if we really end up doing next level volume that warrants adding additional equipment in the future.
Since opening in October 1987, Coffee Gallery has been part of Haleiwa's history and daily life. Over the decades, we welcomed locals and visitors from around the world, and saw multiple generations return through our doors. What began as a coffee shop became a place for connection, memories, and community,

Moving to having a dedicated app for people's phones is something I've been planning for some time. The way of accessing the community is new, but the community has deep roots. Building on Roasting Lab's three-year run as a subscription-based professional development and networking hub, the apps are designed to make the platform easier to use day to day, extending its focus on community mentorship, guidance and practical advice for roasters of all skill levels.

Pack mules aren't something you might immediately associate with the state of Idaho, but the area actually has a strong history with pack trains, which were often utilized to bring supplies to rural mountainous areas. In fact, the Forest Service still uses mules to access Idaho's backcountry today. There's even a very successful local coffee company named after the hardworking animals - and it wouldn't have even gotten its start without them.
"While that project led to a lot of good iteration on our systems, it ultimately proved difficult with some technical limitations, and we've since moved in a different direction," 321 Coffee Co-Founder Michael Evans told Daily Coffee News. "In the past year, we've been focusing on making our roastery more accessible with new equipment, such as a green coffee system to minimize the movement of heavy burlap bags of coffee around our space."
For me, cafes have long represented more than just necessary fuel to start the day. They are a place to relax, create, and connect, whether that be to yourself, the local environment, or friends. As a food scientist and professional baker who's worked as a barista, good coffee and pastries are also undoubtedly important - don't get me wrong. The best cafes not only invite you in; they invite you to stay.
From Midwest-based franchises to beloved West Coast establishments, there are a handful of regional coffee chains that seem to be racing to open shops in as many areas as possible. Whether these franchises have been open for five years or 30 years, expansion has been top of mind for each one. Even if you aren't someone who frequents chain establishments of any sort, you'll likely find something to love about these brands, from their attention to customer experience to their high-quality beverages.
Like straight up, you get coffee, but they also are the most complimentary and upbeat group of employees I've ever seen. I don't Dutch Bros often, but when I do, it's usually because I need young people to tell me my glasses are wicked, and I'm still cool,

XBREW Lab debuted its countertop nitro beverage machine, EverNitro, at CES this week, offering nitro coffee enthusiasts a more accessible way to enjoy the drink-without the waste and expense of traditional cartridge-based machines. If you're unfamiliar with nitro coffee, it's cold brew coffee infused with nitrogen gas. This process creates tiny bubbles, resulting in a silky-smooth, naturally sweeter taste-similar to drinking a Guinness. Many people also note that nitro coffee has less bitterness.
A Gofundme campaign in support of the Ruskeys' three children and funeral costs described the couple as "caring and generous members of our community, always eager to support schools, causes, and friends" and as "loving and fiercely engaged parents to their cherished children." Americans are drinking more coffee than they have in decades. But fewer of them are getting it from Starbucks. The company that revolutionized the United States' coffee culture remains America's biggest player, with nearly 17,000 U.S. stores and plans to open hundreds more. But it's facing unprecedented competition, which will make it harder to win back the customers it already lost.
