Adobe must adapt to AI rapidly while maintaining trust with enterprise customers reliant on its software.
The feature, called AI Restyle, allows users to apply a range of styles to photos in OneDrive. Microsoft has gone further by adding the ability to create a new version of a photo using either a preset or a prompt.
In the collision repair industry, your visual portfolio is your entire sales pitch. If a stressed vehicle owner visits the website of a local auto body shop, the very first thing they look for is evidence of past miracles. A compelling before and after photo does the heavy lifting of building trust before they ever pick up the phone to ask for an estimate.
Skilled practitioners now understand that multiple specialized tools outperform any single platform for specific use cases - and ChatGPT is not always the right fit. According to Rene, this belief is common among beginners and was more widespread a couple of years ago, but even experienced creators fall into the habit of defaulting to ChatGPT for any task.
The Snapseed camera defaults to an automatic mode, but also includes optional controls for ISO, shutter speed, and focus, along with flash and zoom. It allows you to shoot using saved looks and edit stacks from the app, which can be altered after the shot is taken, along with a range of preset film effects inspired by specific films from Kodak, Fujifilm, and more. There's even a handful of UI color themes to pick from too.
In Premiere, the company's video-editing software, it has unveiled a new AI-powered Object Mask feature that lets you easily pick and track persons or objects moving through your video clips. You simply have to hover over that object and click to generate a mask overlay in seconds. While the mask is supposed to be accurate from the start, you can adjust and resize it as needed. Adobe says the feature uses its own AI model for the feature and that the processing happens on-device.
The latter feature is aptly called "Coloring book," and lets you make blank coloring templates in version 11.2512.191.0 of Paint based on a text prompt. Users can access this feature by selecting the Coloring book option from the Copilot menu in Paint, and then describing what the design should be, such as "a cute fluffy cat on a donut." Paint will then generate four results that Paint users can click to add to their canvas. From there, you can presumably use Paint itself to color the image, or print it out to use traditional art materials.
Adobe has improved the tools for Generative Fill, Generative Expand and Remove that are powered by its Firefly generative AI platform. Using these tools for image editing should now produce results in 2K resolution with fewer artifacts and increased detail all while delivering better matches for the provided prompts.
Now, Adobe is allowing users to use the information stored in these files and notes to create a presentation using text prompts. For instance, if a user has financial details, product plans, and competitor analysis available in a Space, they can build a pitch deck for clients that focuses on why their product can solve problems better than rivals. Acrobat's AI assistant first generates an editable presentation with points that the deck would cover.
This update includes the next iteration of the app's much-discussed Process Zero mode, adding HDR and ProRAW support to what is intended to be a hands-off, anti-computational image processing method. There's a new black-and-white film simulation that also supports HDR, and more new "Looks" to come. This is my semi-regular cue to remind you that HDR is not a dirty word. We tend to associate the term with an over-processed look when high-contrast scenes are translated to an SDR display.

ChatGPT has come a long way since its introduction in 2022. Usually, when we discuss improvements, we talk about how the AI model has gotten better, safer, and smarter. But if you deconstruct the name ChatGPT, you're left with "chat" and "GPT," where GPT means generative, pre-trained transformer (that's the AI part). Today, we're going to dig into the chat side, because ChatGPT has become a far more full-featured AI chat app than it was back when it first launched.
