Astros sign catcher Christian Vazquez to a minor league deal
The 35-year-old returns to the Astros for the first time since being a part of the team that won the World Series in 2022. He also won a title with the Red Sox in 2018.
The Astros are pursuing veteran catcher Christian Vázquez as a defensive, experienced backup behind Yainer Díaz after Victor Caratini's departure, with César Salazar currently the only other catcher on the 40-man roster.
