David Antonio Aviles Perez, also known as 'la bruja' or 'the witch,' was sentenced to 20 years in prison in El Salvador for aggravated homicide related to a 2014 murder. He and an accomplice murdered a man during a dispute, shooting him multiple times.

Officers responding to the scene found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head and an 18-year-old woman with gunshot wounds to the head and chest.

The 42-year-old victim was walking from his car and reporting to work when he was clobbered with an unknown object and then kicked while in the lot at the No. 2 and 5 subway line at the 180th Street Station in Van Nest around 5:45 a.m.
