"That's just how I was raised. I feel like Northwood, the basketball gym felt like my home since I'm there so much, before, during and after school... I just wanted to help out. That was really it."
Brady Murrietta's silence rounding the bases and his intense stare at St. John Bosco's pitcher after his home run sent a clear message: Don't poke the bear.
McCarthy stated, 'He just needed a reset for his family, frankly I had just went through the same thing in '19. I thought it was really good for him, personally, really good for his family, and look what it did. It springboarded him right back in as an offensive coordinator.'
Arlington is the best street course circuit and event we have in IndyCar right now. It is the benchmark when it comes to the size of the circuit size, the IndyCar paddock, the suites and the overall experience. It really is the complete package, and that showed today with the sold-out crowd.
Raised in Oakland by a family with Raiders season tickets, early photos show her dressed in team gear even as a baby. One of Stewart's vivid childhood memories is of one time at the Coliseum when the referee blew a call that went against the Raiders and the crowd erupted in a chant that was about, well, bovine feces.
What I loved about it at first was the oranges. The parents were responsible for half-time, and a lot of times I couldn't wait for half-time because they cut up oranges, but I fell in love with the game because it was just being outside playing with my friends. I played centre forward and I wanted to score. I found out very fast what scoring was all about and also what it was like playing with team-mates.

I think we gave a really good performance. A very attractive and willing-to-go-forward type of performance. Wednesday is National Girls & Women in Sports Day, so why not salute Girls Athletic Leadership School Los Angeles, the only public, all-girls middle school in California. The final game of the night was Crespi pulling out a 65-61 win over Loyola when Isaiah Barnes scored while falling down with 15 seconds left for the game-clinching basket. Despite the loss, Loyola claimed fourth place in the seedings while finishing in a three-way tie for fourth with Crespi and St. Francis. The Cubs, though, are 14-14 and will need a win Saturday against the winner of Thursday's Bishop Alemany (No. 8) vs. St. Francis (No. 5) game to keep alive their Southern Section playoff hopes. You need a .500 or better record to be considered for an at-large berth.

A University of Florida basketball crowd started a brutal chant for an opposing player who returned to college after an unsuccessful stint in the NBA. During Sunday's game between the Gators and the Alabama Crimson Tide, Alabama center Charles Bediako was at the free throw line when the chant rang out across the gym. As he prepared to shoot, the crowd's criticism of the 23-year-old was loud and clear, as G League dropout! could be heard on the TV broadcast.
