Qesser Zuhrah was arrested again, allegedly due to an Instagram post encouraging direct action related to Palestine Action.
Twelve activists linked to the Palestine Action group who were charged with breaking into the British site of an Israel-linked defence firm have been released on bail. There were tears of joy at London's Central Criminal Court, better known as the Old Bailey, as the 12 prisoners, including hunger strikers Teuta Hoxha, Kamran Ahmed, Qesser Zuhrah and Heba Muraisi, were released on Friday.
Six Palestine Action activists will face a retrial on criminal damage charges over a break-in at the UK base of an Israeli defence firm, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has announced. Charlotte Head, 29, Samuel Corner, 23, Leona Kamio, 30, Fatema Rajwani, 21, Zoe Rogers, 22, and Jordan Devlin, 31, are all accused of the raid on the Elbit Systems site near Bristol on 6 August 2024.
A number of Allianz offices across Europe and Asia were vandalised in the past 24 hours in a coordinated wave of actions that campaigners say coincided with the renewal of Allianz's alleged insurance contract with the Israeli defence firm Elbit Systems and the anniversary of the 1917 Balfour Declaration. Sources have said that Allianz Ireland has no relationship with Elbit.
In a video provided by a pro-Palestine activist group calling itself Palestine Action Éire, two people can be seen at the front of the building holding an Irish tricolour flag with the words 'IDF suppliers out of neutral Ireland' emblazoned across it. The two individuals proceed to start smashing windows of the front entrance before the person filming picks up a cannister of red paint which is used to spray the building front. The words 'Drop Elbit' are also spraypainted onto a sign nearby.
