I can remember when I was tapped to go to 60 minutes I thought this was fantastic and I expected a lot of people would just come up and say, that's really great, I'm really happy for you, whatever the thing right is and then you realize after a while that not everybody was happy that I got this job. FBI director Kash Patel and the hosts of Fox & Friends managed to hold it together on Monday despite a chaotic start to their live interview. The Fox & Friends team were discussing the collaborative effort between law enforcement and military personnel that took place to transport arrested Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro through the streets of New York on Saturday, just hours after he was captured in Caracas in a surprise Delta Force mission.

Hours before the episode went live, however, CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss made the decision to pull the report. The move sparked outrage within CBS News and across the media industry, with some accusing Weiss of yanking the segment because it would make President Donald Trump look bad. In a company memo, Weiss explained that her decision was motivated by the fact that the segment did not include voices from the Trump administration.
