Drone attacks in Russia and Ukraine resulted in civilian casualties amid ongoing conflict and ceasefire proposals.
Afghan government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid condemned the strike, claiming Pakistan was targeting hospitals and civilian sites to perpetrate horrors. He emphasised that those killed were innocent civilians and addicts. We strongly condemn this crime and consider such an act to be against all accepted principles and a crime against humanity.
Chief Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell said eight service members are still listed as severely injured and are "receiving the highest level of medical care." He added that most of the injuries have been minor, and 108 of those wounded have returned to duty.
The incident occurred in friendly airspace during Operation Epic Fury. A statement said the crash was not the result of hostile or friendly fire and involved one other refueling plane. The second plane landed safely in Israel, officials said. A US official, speaking to Reuters on the condition of anonymity, said the KC-135 that crashed had as many as six service members on board.
At least three Palestinians have been killed in Israeli drone strikes in war-battered Gaza, nearly two and a half years into Israel's genocidal war on the enclave, as severely limited medical evacuations restarted through the Rafah border crossing. Doctors at al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City said two people were killed in a drone strike in the Zeitoun neighbourhood, in the eastern part of Gaza City.
Senior defence official Joseph Humire said that 47 narco-trafficking vessels have been struck in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific since the campaign began in September, in a written statement to members of the US Congress. Asked by lawmakers on Tuesday whether the quantity of drugs entering the US has gone down, Humire stated that the movement of drug-trafficking vessels had decreased by 20 percent in the Caribbean.
A US military refueling aircraft crashed in western Iraq on Thursday, in an incident US Central Command said involved another aircraft but was not the result of hostile or friendly fire. The United States has surged a large number of aircraft into the Middle East to take part in operations against Iran.
You're stuck in that airplane until you land safely, the veteran Australian pilot says. Amid the expanding war in Iran with missiles piercing the skies over the Middle East pilots' regimented routes have been thrown into chaos. They've been forced to turn planes around mid-flight or squeeze into narrowing air corridors, with hundreds of lives in their hands.
