Knumears is releasing their debut album Directions on April 3, showcasing their unique sound within the Los Angeles screamo scene. The album is available through Run for Cover and Summer Shade.

Indie veterans of Montreal have announced an expansive 2026 North America tour set for June through August. Cormae and Sloppy Jane will serve as openers on select dates for the Kevin Barnes-led band. Spanning 36 dates, the summer run kicks off on June 19th in Athens, Georgia, with subsequent stops in major cities including New York City, Chicago, Nashville, Los Angeles, and Washington, DC.

Gangstagrass occupies a lane that sounds unlikely on paper and surprisingly natural in practice. The collective blends bluegrass instrumentation with hip-hop rhythms, pairing banjo rolls and fiddle runs with sharp lyricism and boom-bap backbone.

It started out as an album full of death metal songs with speed and aggression. Then Chris had the brilliant idea to keep half of those death metal songs and add some groovier songs in the vein of the early SIX FEET UNDER material.

Whatever they are, it's clear Umphrey's McGee defies all genres. That's probably why this band draws an audience of hippies, rockers and "normies" with their collective jams and meticulous playing, combining the most unlikely of genres like electronic and metal with folk and soul.

We are hitting major cities and bringing along with us an absolutely killer lineup with the legendary Robb Flynn and Machine Head, thrash masters Iron Reagan, and rounded out by the mighty Havok. When he's not making proggy folk as a solo artist, Richard Dawson gets his skronk on as part of proggy new-wave art-rock group Hen Ogledd. Despite my attempts to do so in the previous sentence, the band are hard to succinctly describe: they can pivot from warm synthpop to mossy faerie folk to baggy Manchester shuffle beats to dense prog and even flashes of hip hop. Hen Ogledd are weird, but also welcoming.

Atlanta's Ying Yang Twins helped define the crunk era by turning late-night club energy into a national language all its own. Their catalog relies on deep bass, playful braggadocio, and hooks designed for shouted choruses more than quiet contemplation. Songs such as "Salt Shaker" and "Wait (The Whisper Song)" turned clubs into shared sing-along zones that felt as much ritual as entertainment.

Avatar have announced a Spring 2026 US tour with Fleshgod Apocalypse and Frozen Soul. Dates kick off April 16th in Sacramento, California, and run through May 20th in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. The itinerary includes stops in Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and New York City, as well as festival appearances by Avatar at Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple.

Sepultura have been making their way through a very long farewell since 2024 and now they've announced a 2026 trek that they say will be their final North American tour. They'll be joined by a pretty incredible batch of bands for this, including thrash legends Exodus, metallic hardcore veterans Biohazard (who are fresh off making a big comeback with last year's great Divided We Fall), and new-school death-metallers Tribal Gaze.

The trek is routed around Napalm Death's festival appearances at Welcome to Rockville (May 7th), Sonic Temple (May 14th), and Maryland Deathfest (May 20th). Headlining dates run from May 8th in Tampa, Florida, through June 14th in Vancouver, with Deadguy supporting select shows from May 11th through May 23th, and Primitive Man opening certain dates between May 21st and June 14th.

Shows are in May and Jun, with support from Cloud Nothings; We wouldn't be a band today without them and we couldn't be more excited, they say. They'll also have Anthers, University, fanclubwallet, Liquid Mike and Pure Hex each joining them varying by show, and you can see all dates below. The NYC show is at Music Hall of Williamsburg on May 22. Tickets are on sale now.

Jake has always had control of the band. There's a reason Patty left even though he is the primary writer. Jake is an ICE apologist and I will not fuck with someone like that. "Certainty" is certainly one of the best songs by Black Veil Brides to date. Forget that this is the same band from their 2010 debut album We Stitch These Wounds, because this doesn't sound anything like that, nor is it remotely screamo. Rather, we get high caliber melodic metalcore with some nice alt-rock inflections via the clean singing of vocalist Andy Biersack. He sounds equally strong during the harsh, chuggy parts here, as well.

Dream Fatigue is a new-ish Massachusetts band launched by former Fleshwater/Vein drummer Matt Wood and fronted by Jonali McFadden, and they make shoegazy alt-rock that's not too different from what Matt was doing in Fleshwater. They released their debut LP The Lady In The Sky in 2024, and now they announced a new seven-song EP, No Requiem, due February 13 via DAZE ( pre-order).

Having already released two EPs under the moniker Georgia Gets By, 2024's Split Lip and 2023's Fish Bird Baby Boy, Georgia Nott (also of BROODS) has announced the project's debut LP, Heavy Meadow. We don't have more details on it yet, but earlier this week, she wrote on Instagram, "I have been imagining and growing this place for the last two years and to be on the cusp of beginning to share it with you all has me shaking with delight.
