Germany's coalition government faces record dissatisfaction, with 84% of voters unhappy and leaders' approval ratings plummeting.
Ahead of kick-off, both teams took up position together behind a banner with the matchday motto, and the FCB women including Glodis Viggosdottir, Giulia Gwinn and Pernille Harder also wore special warm-up shirts with the 'Red against Racism' slogan.
Collien Fernandes accused her former husband Christian Ulmen of impersonating her online for years and sharing sexually explicit deepfake images. She expressed shock at discovering that hundreds of fake pornographic images of her had been circulating on the internet.
FCB Women demonstrated spirit in particular, since the She-Wolves were 1-0 up at half-time. The second half was a different story as Jovana Damnjanović (54', 56') turned the game around with a quickfire double, before Georgia Stanway (70') and Klara Bühl (80') wrapped up the win in the top-of-the-table clash.
"But these days they can play football quite well," Hoeneß said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). "Unfortunately, you can't make money from women's football in Germany, but you lose a lot of money. Even the small stadium in the campus is rarely sold out. I laugh my head off at the idea of equal pay. Equal pay would also mean equal income. But you can't make money with women's football in Germany."
Germany has no equivalent of the US' specialized Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency, though that would change if the Bavarian branch of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) had its way. Apparently directly inspired by the actions of ICE under President Donald Trump's administration, an internal paper from the far-right party seen by the German newspaper taz this week proposed that a new authority be created within the Bavarian state police named the Asyl-, Fahndungs- und Abschiebegruppe (AFA), or the "Asylum, Tracing and Deportation group."
