In a March 13 post on Truth Social, Trump announced the U.S. Central Command completed "one of the most powerful bombing raids in History of the Middle East" when it "totally obliterated" military targets on Iran's Kharg Island. Even though he says the U.S. military left the oil assets alone, he threatened to strike those, too, if Iran continued to block the safe passage of ships and large oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz.

Back in the 80s, under the tanker wars, there the last time Iran tried to constrain global energy supplies, you had French, United Kingdom, even Soviet Union forces in there escorting their tankers out that were heading to their markets. And I think that's what President Trump is calling upon the world, saying, the entire world is affected.

In recent days, American warplanes and missiles have targeted military facilities on the island. U.S. Central Command claims to have executed precision strikes on more than 90 targets while trying to preserve energy infrastructure.

Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, declaring that the country will experience "death, fire, and fury" if it persists in obstructing the Strait of Hormuz. This strategic maritime passage is critical for global oil transportation, with approximately one-fifth of the world's oil supply traversing through it.

The U.S. and Bahrain signed the agreement as the Trump administration ramps up efforts to enhance global energy security.
