Diego Simeone criticized the VAR decision to overturn Gerard Martín's red card during Atlético Madrid's loss to Barcelona.
For me, it is clearly a red card for the Arsenal player. She's pulling Alyssa Thompson's hair. If the VAR is not able to check that situation, I don't know why we have the VAR. I'm the one getting a red card when I think the Arsenal player should be the one getting a red card.
"It's obvious that diving there with a yellow card was crazy. Then I arrived at the dressing room and it was clear to me that something was happening to me, that I had to ask for help."
The highest reported number of players sent off in a single football match is 36 in the Argentine Primera D game between Club Atletico Claypole and Victoriano Arenas refereed by Damian Rubino (Argentina) at the Estadio Rodolfo Capocasa, Claypole, Argentina, on 27 February 2011. France's Pierre Crinon, who fought Canada's Tom Wilson at the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, was suspended Monday by the French ice hockey federation. Crinon will not play in the qualification round Tuesday against Germany after the federation said the defenseman's actions following the fight were against its values. He also would not play if France unexpectedly advances. Crinon and Wilson fought with seven minutes left in Canada's 10-2 rout of France on Sunday.

Consequently, I proceeded to activate the anti-racism protocol, for which reason the match was stopped for three minutes.
Lausanne have been knocked out of the Europa Conference League following a home defeat to Czech side Sigma Olomouc. The Swiss club lost 2-1 at home after a 1-1 draw in the first leg, ending their hopes of progressing further in the competition. It wraps up what had been a promising run, starting back in July with the qualifiers and highlighted by their win over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Besiktas to reach the group stage.
Due to Van de Ven being sent off for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity, he will only have to serve a one-game suspension. Had he been dismissed for violent conduct, then a minimum three-match ban would have been his punishment. But in this case, Van de Ven will be unavailable for selection in Tottenham's next Premier League fixture which is against Liverpool at Anfield on March 15.
Messi made headlines during MLS's season-opening weekend not for his attacking brilliance, but for heated post-match scenes that marked his latest run-in with North American referees. The Inter Miami captain gave match officials an earful in the tunnel after his team's 3-0 road loss to Son Heung-Min and LAFC in front of a record crowd of more than 75,000 fans, with multiple videos capturing the confrontation as it unfolded.
The first half was tough for us. Obviously, the first goal was an incredible misfortune. After that, they came out more focused, with more attitude... against a rival like Atlético, it's difficult with this advantage," he added.

However, Arsene Wenger's "daylight" offside proposal is set to be kicked into touch in favour of a different idea which is fairer for defences. Goalkeeper tactical timeouts, time-wasting and video assistant referee (VAR) tweaks are among other items on the agenda.
