In the 2021 Italian GP, Lewis Hamilton nearly had his head crushed when Max Verstappen's car literally climbed on top of his, with the car's bottom grazing past his helmet and onto the protective Halo. Later on, Toto Wolff of the Mercedes team breathed a sigh of relief, also reflecting on how much he fought against the addition of the Halo to the F1 car design. This isn't the first time a Halo has saved a life. Leclerc's helmet showed the battle scars of Fernando Alonso's tire from a similar incident in the Belgian GP in 2018.

Game director Greg Hermann said during a roundtable interview attended by Polygon, that "Every asset has been touched or modified or reviewed in some way as we brought it forward." Many wondered if Halo Studios employed some kind of artificial intelligence tool to help with this, but Microsoft has not confirmed one way or another, stating only that there was no mandate that the studio needed to use AI.

The announcement of Halo: Campaign Evolved was another major step in Microsoft's new direction, so perhaps it shouldn't come as a surprise that Halo 2 and Halo 3 are getting the same treatment. Halo Studios themselves have previously confirmed that they intended on showing off what they've been working on at the upcoming Halo World Championship, which takes place between October 24-26. However, they stopped short at confirming it would be a full Halo game, even if the hint was obvious. Well, Schreier says it is indeed a new Halo title. "Xbox's best hope for a blockbuster game in recent years was 2021's Halo Infinite, the latest entry in its most vital franchise," writes Schreier, possibly while chugging coffee and staring at a whiteboard covered in string and pictures.

Actor Aaron Paul voices one of the leads in the just-released episodic game Dispatch, and it's his first time starring in a game. He is a big fan of games, though, and has a special fondness for a few in particular. Speaking to IGN, the 46-year-old Breaking Bad actor singled out the 1996 original Resident Evil as one of his favorites. "I didn't know I could feel that way while playing a game. It sent shivers down my spine in a way that no film has ever done. It was just terrifying. But it was so gripping," he explained.
