Homemade wing sauce can be easily made with honey and chili crisp for a sweet and spicy flavor.
Prepare the pork loin: Pat the pork loin roast dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger, 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg, and 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Rub this mixture all over the pork loin, ensuring it's evenly coated. Using a sharp knife, cut 3-inch deep slits into the pork. Insert the apple slices into each pork slit.
What is this tweak? Simple, it's honey. When whisked into the batter, honey adds moisture and balance, keeping the crumb tender while helping the edges form a gentle crust. It's the kind of texture that walks the line between cake and bread - dense enough to slice yet light on the tongue. Use two to three tablespoons, just enough to keep the batter thick.
Honey can make any ol' pumpkin filling taste richer and more complex, giving it a slightly floral, earthy flavor, depending on which one you use. It can also lead to better caramelization and create a smoother, silkier texture, especially if you heat the honey before adding it to the mixture. And the best part is if you use honey in place of sugar, you can even pass your pie off as healthy - or healthier, at least.
Hydrate with teas For Dr Ricardo Jose, consultant in respiratory medicine, hydration is key: It's about taking frequent sips throughout the day to keep the mucous membranes moist. Immunologist Dr Jenna Macciochi agrees, saying: I often stir a spoonful of raw honey nature's soothing antimicrobial into a cup of thyme tea (thyme steeped in water), which helps ease irritation and supports respiratory health. I also love marshmallow root tea, which is great for the mucous membranes.
When drizzled onto or mixed into fruit salad, honey creates a light coating on the fruit pieces that slows down oxidation. This effective barrier helps lock in the fruit's natural moisture.
