Feng Yitong is a Berlin-based illustrator from Xi'an, China whose comic and hand-drawn imagery addresses migration, cultural shifts and embodied experiences in heavy, tactile forms of oil pastels. Using skills learned from her bachelors and masters degrees in illustration at the Berlin University of the Arts, she sketches her emotive scenes, then scans before using a light table to transfer them onto A4 and A3 paper. Coloured with oil pastels, she achieves her sharp visual effects by using kitchen cloths to remove or mix thick marks to create defined edges and distinct segments of her dense images.
San Francisco Poet Laureate emerita invites writers featured in Women in a Golden State to present at SFPL's Monthly poetry reading. was San Francisco's seventh Poet Laureate. Her poetry draws on her multiethnic background which includes Polish and Cherokee heritage, and her experiences as a lifelong resident of San Francisco. Her most recent book of poetry, Pick a Garnet to Sleep In, was published in 2024, and her book of essays, Noodle, Rant, Tangent, was published in 2022.
Bendetta's latest single, "Headshot," captures the moment when something shifts: when violent thoughts arise, yet the urge to maintain control prevails. This track navigates themes of anger, boundaries, and the conscious decision to no longer absorb harm without letting it transform you into the one inflicting it. Rather than offering comfort or resolution, "Headshot" demands clarity: it focuses on naming feelings, standing firm within them, and refusing to downplay their significance.
The track is characterised by delicate acoustic guitar and Brenda Corijn's poignant vocals, creating a finely balanced interplay of pride and melancholy. Brenda explains the song's inspiration: "During an interview I did with my mother for a theatre production, I had to ask her whether she was jealous of me. She replied, 'Jealous isn't the right word, but I would like to be that which you are.' Her words have stuck with me and resonate in this song, Orgulho, which means 'proud.'"

A year after the auteur's passing, a newly opened show at Pace Gallery's Berlin space, Die Tankestelle, foregrounds Lynch's career-spanning fine art practice and its inextricable link to his cinematic oeuvre.
