The last two winners, the Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks, have banners in their respective arenas. The Knicks haven't hung a team banner since winning the Eastern Conference in 1999.

The story is Chris Kreider's return to MSG for the first time since his offseason trade. Kreider was easily the best clutch playoff performer in Rangers history, and was perhaps underappreciated during his 12 seasons on Broadway.
