Eberl is accused of "spending too much money" on contract extensions and signing fees. Seems like the club is not happy to see players and agents sucking out the cash from Bayern Munich's bank account. In his tenure, Eberl is responsible for the extensions of Alphonso Davies, Jamal Musiala, Dayot Upamecano and, more recently, Serge Gnabry. He also brought in top wingers Michael Olise and Luis Diaz, both of whom are key contributors to the team's success.
Eberl had a mixed two years in his tenure. His first big task was finding a successor to Thomas Tuchel. Bayern missed out on several first-choice options. Eberl eventually went ahead by hiring Vincent Kompany as the new head coach of Bayern. The Belgian head coach hit the ground running at Die Roten, guiding the club to a Bundesliga title.
