Participating in London Fashion Week is not a luxury but a necessity for any emerging brand aiming to go global. It's your ticket to the world of international fashion. - Katie England, Creative Director of Topshop and curator of the New Generation program
The safari jacket owes much of its makeup to this lighter-weight cousin. Safari jackets were worn by troops in all the warm-weather colonial trips made by the turn of the (20th) century European powers.
The men whose style stand out on the slopes know that difference lies in the details - the cut, the fabrics, the finish. These men won't settle for bulky jackets or purely functional one-pieces; instead they look to luxury men's skiwear that works hard. Designs that are technical enough to handle the cold and the powder, yet polished enough to pass muster in any ski lodge or après-ski bar.
Like interest in the Nike tracksuit Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro was pictured wearing earlier this month after being seized by the U.S., interest in Macron's shades is just the latest example of a newsmaker driving attention to a piece of fashion, and parlaying a news item into an internet meme. Before you could buy a "Make America Great Again" hat on President Donald Trump's website, he wore one himself. Watch the news and shop the look.
Photos of George and Amal Clooney in Milan this past weekend cascaded across social media and celebrity news sites. They looked elegant emerging from a car on Saturday night and effortlessly cool at the airport the next day. But what were they doing in the Italian fashion capital? Yes, they were in town for the Winter Olympics, but the Clooneys turned up for a specific event: the Opening Gala for the Omega House.
The J.Crew Barbour barn jacket has been around for a minute, but the pair just released an exclusive to J.Crew color combination. The waxed cotton is navy, and the corduroy collar is black. It's a city-ready take on Barbour's country look.
The dress, conversely, is 80 years old, and it isn't his. It's by Pierre Balmain - Tron shows me a René Gruau illustration of the look where, with a platter hat, white fox stole and opera-length gloves, the look is borne back ceaselessly into the past. It's an illustration in a book titled The New French Style, of Balmain outfits with an essay by Alice B Toklas, the partner of Gertrude Stein.
People have a lot of ideas of what Chanel is, or rather what it should be. One word that doesn't come up much, though, is rebellious - yet that's exactly what Chanel the woman was and what Chanel the house remains. Rather than rebellion, 'paradox' was the word used by Matthieu Blazy, Chanel's artistic director of fashion collections, backstage after his debut show for the maison in October.
in the Swiss backcountry. They're young men, both seemingly carefree and indestructible. During their run down the mountain, the pair notice an inn, remove their skis, and step inside for a drink and some apple strudel. There's an old stove throwing off heat; cigarette smoke wafts through the place. After Nick orders wine for both of them, he turns to George and says:

Paris is a city designed for strolling, with its grand boulevards, photogenic buildings, and hundreds of beautifully manicured parks. My biggest mistake on my first trip to Paris? I packed the wrong footwear. I visited in late May and brought an overstuffed suitcase of strappy sandals and heels. After a day of rain (leading to chafing and blisters), I popped into a few shops in the Marais and purchased comfortable sneakers and ankle boots that I wore on repeat for the rest of the trip.
Play Hard captures the essence of growing up surrounded by the echoes of empty arcades, the chill of coastal winds, and fleeting moments of joy found in skateboarding culture. It reflects on personal memories shaped by resilience, freedom, and creativity in an environment where opportunities were scarce. The collection embraces an aesthetic that values imperfection, emphasising the beauty found in fragility and the strength derived from community.
Form-fitting coats, designer goggles, and sleek ski pants were the norm for women, while high-performance brands with a retro bent dominated for men-and that was just the ski gear. After skiing, the après looks were as functional as they were chic, and always with an effortlessly European touch. I grew to love having a wide-banded headband and insulated après-ski boots for drinks on the patio, and a statement puffer vest thrown over my thermals was an easy transition from skiing to sipping.
As soon as you saw the faux-snow slalomed catwalk beforehand, you kind of knew what was on the cards. Or at least knew it wasn't going to be some treatise about practical winter outerwear. Although, granted, there were plenty of knits, and down jackets, and double-layered cargo jean hybrid things that nodded to the theme, as well as puffed nylon trapper hats and some giant coats and collars in thick shearling.
Last year, traditional luxury brands struggled to keep the attention of aspirational shoppers, and it was their lower-priced counterparts that swooped in to fill the gap. The formerly squeezed middle of the market - sitting below pure luxury labels but above mass-market brands - was able to capitalise on luxury's ever-growing prices and perceived lack of innovation. Tightening consumer budgets also played a part.
Instead of the long, insulated puffer coats and jeans I saw on the subway, I was sporting a wool overcoat and leather pants-I instantly stood out. The same goes for many tourists visiting Paris who dress much warmer than necessary (thankfully, we never have serious winter storm warnings here like the recent one in the U.S.) or make fashion faux pas like trying to navigate the city's winding streets teetering in talons hauts (high heels).
A good winter coat can be the difference between dreading winter and enjoying the season. Think about it: The right coat can offer you comfort and warmth even in freezing temperatures, making it more likely you'll enjoy venturing outside, whether it's just to a dinner with friends or a challenging winter hike. If you're on the hunt for a high-quality layer, now's a great time to add a new cold-weather staple to your closet.
Pharrell Williams has grand designs for Louis Vuitton - and not just for your back. His Autumn/Winter 2026 show took place around an ergonomic wood and moulded glass edifice he named the Drophaus , presumably so-called because you can bung it anywhere and it's ready to go, like a pop-up Glastonbury tent but far more glamorous (and, indeed, expensive). Louis Vuitton is about travel,
In this freezing season, we're thinking warm thoughts. Hot chocolate, '90s rom-coms, purring kittens, and the best luxury throw blankets. "Feels like -6 degrees" day after day has us dreaming up cozy blankets speciated for sophisticated lounging. We're talking thick wool that's not scratchy, cashmere not prone to pilling, oversized throws as soft as your favorite sweater. High-quality textiles are of the highest import, and we'll even pay the dry cleaning fee for this level of comfort.
On the first day of Berlin Fashion Week, Maqu unveiled its Fall/Winter 2026 collection, La Dama del Cacao, a masterful exploration of contemporary Peruvian minimalism. This capsule collection is a testament to material innovation, embodying a thoughtful design philosophy that marries textile memory and regenerative principles. Crafted from luxurious alpaca yarns, organic cotton, and pioneering biomaterials, each piece is a result of meticulous hand-knitting techniques and artisanal machinery.
Even for the largest, most resourced fashion houses, delivering a cohesive capsule of menswear that lives up to increasingly astronomical expectations - all while facing a cutthroat seasonal cycle and mounting industry consolidation - is a momentous task. More so when they haven't shown for 20 years. Then again, as Mr. Lauren has proven time and again, it is ill-advised, if not downright foolish, to bet against him.
