4 days agoSaints coach Moore: Enough snaps for both Kamara, Etienne
Kellen Moore believes there will be enough playing time for both Alvin Kamara and Travis Etienne this season.
"I'm not trying to plateau, I'm not trying to break even. I'm not trying to peak. I'm just trying to get better," Davis said. "And like when I'm getting better, it's like an indicator that I'm on the right track. And so, because I've done that, I think that gives me a lot of confidence that I'm looking forward to returning."
Aaron Glenn and his New York Jets could take a few notes from how a struggling football team like the New Orleans Saints can regroup from a miserable start to the season and actually build some legitimate momentum. Tied 6-6 in the second quarter, the Saints outscored the Jets 23-0 in the final 31:31 to cruise to a 29-6 victory in Week 16 action on Sunday afternoon down in New Orleans.
The New York Jets will officially be without Garrett Wilson as they navigate the end of the 2025 season. The Jets can still enter the holidays on a high note with a road win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon. Undrafted rookie QB Brady Cook will attempt to deliver the holiday gift to Jets fans everywhere, but he will need some help from his friends on the offensive side of the football to secure a victory in Week 16.
As we head toward the playoffs, three NFL teams are carrying more than $100MM in dead money. That represents more than a third of the salary cap. The 49ers are also on track to make the playoffs with more than $100MM allocated to players no longer on their 53-man roster. Here is where the 32 teams stand for dead money (via OverTheCap) with three weeks left in the regular season:
You can't get days back. If you have a bad day on Thursday, tough day on Friday, or whatever, you can always look forward but you can't get that day back. So that preparation, a lack thereof, it's going to add up. Unfortunately, it just cultivated into what we saw.
After punting on their first drive, the Bears' defense came up with a huge play when defensive end Montez Sweat forced a fumble on a sack of quarterback Spencer Rattler. That loose ball was recovered by the Bears on New Orleans' 29 yard line. Though Chicago got into the red zone, they settled for a field goal after failing to convert a third down for a 3-0 advantage.
The Buffalo Bills will continue to be without two starters on defense as both defensive tackle Ed Oliver (left ankle) and linebacker Matt Milano (pectoral) were ruled out of Sunday's game vs. the New Orleans Saints by coach Sean McDermott. Right tackle Spencer Brown (calf) and defensive end AJ Epenesa (pectoral) will be questionable vs. the Saints (1 p.m. ET, CBS).
