Teatro Fest NYC returned for its 11th year earlier this month, celebrating a history of Latinx identity and performance through 24 unique and original shows.

After facing a major legal challenge over last summer's Brockwell Park festivals, like Mighty Hoopla, Cross The Tracks, Wide Awake and Field Day, organisers Summer Events Ltd (which runs the Brockwell Live series) could be in for another fight this year. Campaign group Protect Brockwell Park took Lambeth Council to court over the fact that the events hadn't gone through proper planning permission and won the ruling, meaning that all major events held in the park have to go through a full planning process.

West Palm Beach took Valentine's Day to another level this year with the Palm Tree Music Festival. From April 10-26, the Big Umbrella Festival returns with nearly three weeks of free and pay-what-you-can performances, workshops and installations, all tailored for neurodivergent audiences. Big Umbrella, which launched in 2018, was the first large-scale performing arts festival of its kind and it's only grown more ambitious since. Pavement's original run lasted from 1989 to 1999, during which the band recorded all five of its full-length albums - including such favorites as 1994's "Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain" and 1995's "Wowee Zowee."
