"Rather than a traditional theatre, we are creating a garden of earthly delights. Empyrean is a place of ecstasy, artistry and real interpersonal connection. When the curtain falls, the night has just begun."
"Los Angeles is built on culture, creativity, and a passion for world-class experiences. In partnership with Sam Nazarian and sbe, we are setting a new standard for nightlife in LA."
Being watched in public is perhaps a uniquely female experience. Sadly many women can relate to being leered at from car windows or catcalled from scaffolding, with video content being the latest, depressing escalation of this kind of behaviour.
The first floor is now home to The Ballroom, a cocktail bar and events space with room for 250 people to sip cocktails and listen to vinyl. The room gives strong '70s vibes, with raspberry-pink walls, leather and PVC booth-style seating and oak details all adding to the old school aesthetic.
This move reflects the strength of our vision, the resilience of our platform, and our ambition to help shape the future of entertainment on a global stage. We are entering a city that influences how the world thinks, creates, and connects
Night-owls will have the chance to dance along to an eclectic mix of electronic and pop music under the same roof as the gallery's more than 2,300 paintings, dating as far back as the mid-13th century. If that wasn't enough, the set will be headlined by Soundcloud DJ Mia Lily, as well as RuPaul's Drag Race UK season 2 star Bimini Bon-Boulash, better known simply as Bimini.
At its peak, XOYO in Shoreditch was one of the best nightclubs in London, playing host to residencies from the likes of Benji B, Andy C, Artwork, Bradley Zero, Skream, Bicep and The Blessed Madonna. However the club struggled to maintain that level of cultural relevance post-pandemic and declined in popularity as it became a more commercial venue. At the end of last year, XOYO (along with other London venue The Camden Assembly) was acquired by the newly formed Propaganda Independent Venues group,
When Harun Coffee reopened on Friday, January 9, after closing in 2023, it marked the return of a Leimert Park institution. The newest Harun iteration transforms the South Los Angeles cafe into a community hangout that operates as a daytime coffee destination and a nighttime lounge in a vibrant section of Leimert Park. Harun opened in 2019 and closed its doors in 2023 due to operational challenges during a difficult time for Los Angeles businesses amid the pandemic.
Fisher marked the first time Moscone Center hosted something enormous like this; I went on the second night of a two-night takeover, December 20. Operationally, it ran surprisingly smoothly for a first-time venue. Crowd-wise: a lot of phones, a lot of jerseys, a lot of people filming drops they will absolutely never watch again. It felt like a first "rave" moment for a lot of folks since it was an 18+ event.
It is light, in its many permutations, that gives form to the cycle of Earth's seasons. As our planet tilts and orbits around the Sun, the shifting angles of light create rhythms that shape temperature and weather, and beyond that, entire ecosystems, human cultures, and our deepest sense of time and place.Variation-and its absence-is central to our experience of these rhythms. The changing light of the seasons is more than a visual phenomenon; it is a cosmic metronome.

It's only a small rectangular sticker, but it symbolises a joyous sense of resistance. Some of Berlin's most renowned clubs have long insisted that the camera lenses on their clientele's phones must be covered up using this simple method, to ensure that everyone is present in the moment and people can let go without fear of their image suddenly appearing on some online platform.
Like a generational boxer moving through the ranks, reaching the pinnacle of each weight class before moving on to the next, tougher matchup, Tallboy's rise in the East Bay nightlife scene has been meteoric. But, instead of using jabs, hooks and slips to get there, it's dishing out martinis, vegan hot dogs, free popcorn and revelry. In addition to more than a half dozen martinis, the Tallboy menu includes alcoholic slushies, house jello shots, and creative cocktails like the Pretty Privilege, with Maker's Mark, Aperol, oloroso, strawberry, rhubarb and lemon.
We Angelenos are spoiled for choice of stellar cuisines. Los Angeles is, of course, famous for amazing and authentic Mexican food, but it also offers incredible Japanese, Middle Eastern, Thai, Italian, and Ethiopian food - and that's just the tip of the iceberg, excluding the state's own California cuisine borne out of our bounty of stellar produce, meats, and seafood.
