Tariq Ramadan was sentenced to 18 years in prison for the rape of three women, with an arrest warrant issued for his capture.
Afghan national Ahmad Mulakhil, 23, whose victim said he laughed while attacking her last summer, was found guilty of rape and two counts of sexual assault. He admitted a further rape charge before his trial. Jurors at Warwick Crown Court also convicted him of child abduction and taking an indecent video of the girl during her ordeal near a residential cul-de-sac.
Sarah Ryan has waived her legal right to anonymity, saying she wants people to know what her former partner did because, she believes, silence protects abusers. Nathan Grant McNulty (27) of Ballyogan Avenue, Carrickmines, Co Dublin was jailed for eight years last week for the rape and coercive control of Ms Ryan. Ms Ryan said she is "still in shock" after a four-year legal battle.
"You are nothing but a coward. You ducked and dived all your life, but the jury saw through you. You are the abuser, you are the rapist," one victim said. A "monster" whose sexual abuse of four victims spanned three decades has been jailed for 20 years. Declan Daly (54) of Cassidy Apartments, Kells, Co. Meath pleaded guilty before his trial to 12 counts of sexual assault and indecent assault against three female victims on dates between 1982 and 2002.
District judge Barry Lawrence sentenced Rossi to no less than five years and up to life at the Utah state correctional facility to begin immediately. He noted that Utah has indeterminate sentencing, meaning the sentence is given in a range of years rather than a fixed number, and the state's board of pardons and parole determines the actual release date.
