Arsenal is considering Wesley Franca and Vanderson as potential right-back signings for the summer transfer window.
Roli feels good here, he loves the club, he doesn't want to leave at any cost, but I think he still has one big step left in his career, a really big club. From here, he can only sign for a team that is truly one of the top teams in the world. Liverpool could be such a destination, and I admit, I wouldn't be surprised if this club change happened now.
There has been a lot said about the right-back situation at AC Milan, and the topic may grow further in the final days of the mercato. Alexis Saelemaekers has been a revelation for Massimiliano Allegri, continuing his fine form in the position from his time with Roma. However, Milan look a little bare without the Belgian, and this creates an issue. Zachary Athekame and Fikayo Tomori can both cover the position if needed, but there is not really a 'proper' back-up for the wing-back.
It is TRUE: Everton, Marseille and Lyon hold interest in Sacha Boey. There is interest, especially from France! But Boey doesn't want to move! So everyone is a little irritated. But the fact of the matter is he's currently earning a lot of money at Bayern. They also paid a big transfer fee for him. I don't know why, but he's feeling confident in Munich.
Casado's inclusion in an unfamiliar role was a calculated experiment by Hansi Flick. And by the final whistle, the numbers backed up the decision. Against Guadalajara, Casado recorded five recoveries, won four duels and completed 69 of his 71 passes. Beyond the raw data, he spent significant time in the opposition half, showing confidence on the ball and a clear attacking intent from a defensive position.
The Blaugrana are understood to be in the market for a reliable and cost-effective right-back as backup for Jules Kounde for next season. In fact, as per the report, Barcelona have already held opening talks with Ryerson's camp, with the right-back understood to be open to a summer transfer. Nothing is concrete or advanced at this point, though, but there appears to be interest from both parties to make the move happen.
Porro's link to Manchester City dates back to 2019, when the club signed him from Girona for a reported 11 million. Despite his potential, the Spanish full-back never made a senior appearance for City, spending loan spells at Real Valladolid and Sporting CP before making a permanent move to Lisbon. Man City are interested in signing Pedro Porro It was there that Porro truly developed into one of Europe's most dynamic attacking right-backs, eventually earning a 39 million transfer to Tottenham in 2023. Now, just three years later, City's recruitment team are said to be keeping tabs on his progress, admiring how his game has evolved since leaving the Etihad.
So far, the move appears to be working out quite well for Fort, who has emerged as a key performer for Elche this season. According to SPORT, Barcelona are quite impressed by the performances of Fort, who is flourishing under the leadership of Eder Sarabia. The youngster has already racked up nine competitive appearances for the club and most recently impressed against Real Madrid.
Manchester City have a strong interest in Newcastle United full-back Tino Livramento, but could face competition from Arsenal and Manchester United for his signature. Newcastle don't want to sell Livramento, but clubs are expected to test the Magpies' resolve, either in January or next summer, as first reported here for the Daily Briefing. Tony Popovic has declared teenage Manchester United sensation James Overy a chance to make the Socceroos' World Cup squad next year, even though he is yet to play a competitive senior match. The highly-touted full-back only turned 18 on Sunday but is now training regularly with the Premier League club's first team. Popovic selected Overy for this week's friendlies against Venezuela and Colombia as the Socceroos continue to prepare for next year's World Cup in North America.
