It was 67 degrees and sunny at kickoff inside Levi's Stadium. The light hit the hills just right and bathed the crowd in that specific, golden California glow that usually costs extra. Yes, it was an incredible ego boost for a region that deserved one. A reminder that this is still an elite place to live - there aren't many places on earth that can host the world's biggest party in a light jacket without breaking a sweat, after all.
There are a few apologies in order. First, from NFL fans to everyone they convinced to stay awake into the early hours to watch what was, for three quarters at least, one of the most turgid Super Bowls in recent memory, with no touchdowns scored until the fourth quarter with one team scoreless throughout. Apologies also go to new fans sold on MVP runner up Drake Maye lighting up the Super Bowl stage as his Patriots offence struggled to make an impact.

Feb 15, 2026, 05:17 PM ET Seattle Seahawks quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko has been hired as the Las Vegas Raiders' offensive coordinator, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Sunday. Janocko once again will reunite with Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak, who he worked with in New Orleans and Seattle. The Raiders went 3-14 this past season, then fired first-year coach Pete Carroll.
Charbonnet opened the scoring with a 4-yard touchdown run and then made an all-time heads-up play on a 2-point attempt in the fourth quarter. As other players were starting to walk off the field, thinking Sam Darnold's screen pass had been batted down for an incompletion, Charbonnet wisely grabbed what turned out to be a live ball in the end zone. The successful try tied the score at 30-30, completing the Seahawks' improbable comeback from a 16-point deficit before they prevailed in overtime.
It was the first time he openly said to the team, 'We can win a Super Bowl,' fullback Kyle Juszczyk said. 'That was a huge moment. ... I feel like that showed how Kyle has been energized by how we have developed this season and how we have responded to everything that's happened.
