I am truly honored to serve as the Chief of Police Services for the city of San Carlos, a community I've had the pleasure of serving throughout my career. It's a big job, but I'm confident that with the support of the city, the sheriff and the great people who work here, we're going to make positive strides in policing that reflect local values.

Three home burglaries occurred within two days in Emerald Hills and Portola Valley, prompting the Sheriff's Office to seek public assistance in solving the crimes.

"If you are still conducting active investigations and interviews in the 10th or 11th month, witnesses or subject officers may have trouble recollecting what happened. If the case is open for almost a year, it doesn't give complaining witnesses a lot of confidence that they're complaint is being taken seriously."

The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office has introduced a new non-emergency phone number, 305-SHERIFF, to assist residents with issues like noise complaints and minor traffic accidents.
