The design trio wanted to concentrate all the necessary functions of the home into a few square feet by dividing the house along a main axis-ideally, one hall would connect the living room, hallway, and bedroom.

The living area is anchored by two large windows that flood the space, paired with a sofa that doubles as a bed for two, with three storage drawers tucked underneath. A folding table doubles as a workspace or dining surface, and a large custom bookcase makes the room feel intentional rather than improvised.

Soaring property prices, relentless rent increases, and the quiet exhaustion of never quite owning anything have pushed a whole generation to question what a home genuinely needs to be. The answer, for many, is less. Less debt, less space, less compromise on quality of life.
