Okay, I'm going to say it. Okay. Okay. St. John's fans...I was rooting for St. John's [in the tournament]. Do I want to play them? Probably not, but I didn't want to play Duke either, so we were rooting for St. John's, and then when we went to the [Elite Eight] game, all those St. John's fans were rooting against us, and that broke my heart.
St. John's basketball ranks ninth all-time in NCAA Division I wins with 1,973 and has appeared in 32 NCAA Tournaments, achieving nine Sweet 16s and two Final Fours.
This game has been in the making since 2004. To have our first standalone game is a big deal. Not a lot of people have an idea how much goes into putting these games together. From 2004, we never thought we'd even have a game there. Just to see where it's growing, it's great. As a New Yorker, there's no better feeling.

St. John's (21-5, 14-1) rallied from a six-point deficit in the second half after squandering an 11-point lead. The Red Storm took over the conference lead from No. 5 UConn, which lost 91-84 at home to Creighton earlier Wednesday.
