The right leader is already at our university. His vast experience, his personal values and management skills, his strong record here at Ohio State, and his ability to inspire excellence in all those around him give this Board of Trustees confidence that Ravi Bellamkonda is the right person to lead this university into the future as our president.

As the UC system asks its supporters to stand up against the federal government's demand for $1 billion from UCLA, it throws 160 of its own under the bus. In a cynical act of self-service, UC's leadership has given the names of those who practiced free speech, endangering their lives and livelihoods. As a Berkeley alum, I am appalled by this decision.

"A neutral university, paradoxically, in this nation at the moment would be a conservative university. Not espousing conservative values, certainly not indoctrinating in conservatism," Landry said. "We'd be neutral. We wouldn't choose sides."

Tony Allen, president of Delaware State University, was charged with driving under the influence after being pulled over with a blood alcohol level of 0.128 percent.

"If somebody is expressing pro-Palestinian beliefs, that's not necessarily antisemitic," said UC Berkeley Chancellor Rich Lyons, addressing accusations of bias on campuses.

The public record completely contradicted what the nominee was telling us, Paul Renner said, highlighting skepticism towards Santa Ono's shifting views on DEI and campus safety.

In an age of merit-based hiring decisions, how can one justify settling for a candidate who does not meet all of the position criteria? Or turning a blind eye to exceptionally qualified candidates?
