The 29-year-old Mixon suffered a mysterious foot injury during the offseason, the specifics of which the Texans never disclosed. As a result, Mixon missed all of the team's offseason workouts and training camp. Houston then placed Mixon on the non-football injury list at the end of training camp, which automatically sidelined him for four games.
He's a surefire Hall of Famer who protects the franchise quarterback, and right now, he's got the front office by the throat. His agent is even playing games—why else do you think ESPN representative regurgitation machine Adam Schefter tweeted out that the Niners and Williams were in an impasse on Tuesday, roughly 90 minutes before Niners' general manager John Lynch spoke to the media at the NFL Draft Combine in Indianapolis?
X-rays taken Wednesday revealed the injury, which Harden suffered against the New York Knicks. Harden is currently listed as questionable for Wednesday night's matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks. TreVeyon Henderson wasn't at Patriots practice on Friday. However, the rookie running back is expected to play in Sunday's wild-card matchup against the Chargers. Henderson missed Friday's practice due to personal reasons, but Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel didn't list him among the players who'll be listed on the final injury report ahead of Sunday's game. The reward is that the Patriots now have one of the NFL's hottest players entering Sunday's wild-card round playoff game against the visiting Los Angeles Chargers (8 p.m. ET, NBC). Stevenson enters the postseason having scored six touchdowns in the past three weeks, which ties for the NFL high over that span with Ravens running back Derrick Henry and Bengals running back Chase Brown.

PHILADELPHIA - Chants of "PUR-DY! PUR-DY!" rained down from jubilant 49ers fans in the stands as Brock Purdy triumphantly ran off Lincoln Financial Field in December 2023. Only 10 months earlier, Purdy felt "shocks" of pain in his right elbow, unable to throw because of a shredded ligament in an NFC Championship Game loss that ended the 49ers' Super Bowl bid and cast his career in peril.
"Yea, I would like there to be some clarity, for sure," Smith said ( via the team's website). "And I'll get that, we're going to have those conversations when we have a conversation later today. I'll kind of get that clarify from him and what their vision is and what they say. While Smith wouldn't explicitly endorse one position over the other, he did admit that he's naturally more comfortable playing at the guard position."
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Grant Udinski has pulled his name from consideration for the Cleveland Browns' head coaching position but is still pursuing the Buffalo Bills' job, a league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday. Udinski, who interviewed with the Bills on Sunday, has also agreed to a new contract with the Jaguars that includes a raise for the 2026 season if he is not hired as the Bills' head coach, the source told Schefter.
