The Dodgers' digital-only ticket policy alienates loyal fans like Errol Segal, who has held season tickets for 50 years.
On the Commanders' signing DT D.J. Davidson, a source indicates the team is planning on running some defensive sets with three bigs, so adding more depth in that area was a big reason for the signing. Davidson has nose/DT flex, and imagining him playing alongside Tim Settle is attractive.
Leigh Steinberg has worked for five decades as a sports agent, particularly in the NFL and most notably with franchise quarterbacks. He doesn't need to do celebrity name-dropping; the evidence is all around him. On his shelf is a picture of him with Barack Obama. There's one of him with Julia Roberts on the set of Ocean's Eleven.
But no matter my current level of interest in the league itself, one thing I can always get behind is a game-day watch party. I'll take any excuse to gather friends, eat snacks, drink beer, and be merry, especially when I can do it all from the comfort of my own living room. What better way to spend one of the coldest months of the year?
So you couldn't score a wildly expensive ticket to Monday's College Football Playoff National Championship game between the Miami Hurricanes and Indiana Hoosiers. Well, you're not alone, and so what? There are still plenty of ways to cheer on the home team, which last won a national title in 2002, at official CFP events and watch parties popping up at bars, clubs and restaurants throughout South Florida.
If the thought of sharing room temperature guacamole dip with a bunch of friends of friends on Super Bowl Sunday isn't exactly exactly your idea of pigskin paradise then, well, you're going to want to keep reading. Sure, it seems like everybody on the planet is focused in the NFL's big game, which returns to Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara on Sunday after a 10-year absence.

Downtown San Jose was more alive today than at any point I can remember. Every street was packed, music was everywhere from the stages to the lowriders cruising the streets, and street food was abundant all throughout the area. San Pedro Square was booming, but so was SoFA, and all of Santa Clara Street. The free drone show at Discovery Meadows was also excellent. If you have the opportunity to get to Downtown tomorrow, take it.
Dubbed as "The Game at Radio City", the WNBA hosted an exhibition game between the U.S. Olympic team and a group of WNBA stars. Some of the biggest names in the history of the sport, like Lisa Leslie, Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird took the court in one of the most iconic entertainment venues ever. The game was set up as a way to excite fans for the upcoming Summer Olympic Games in Athens.
For Andrew Collins, CEO of private jet provider Flexjet, it's one of the busiest times of year and comes with its own set of challenges. It "is really time-sensitive because you don't know who's going to be in the Super Bowl until almost the last minute," Collins told Business Insider in an interview. The deciding conference championships happen two weeks before the big event.
Hot take: football was invented to get us, personally, through the winter. That may not be 100% factual, but it sure feels true when it's freezing and dark and spring is roughly 800 years away. What's a girl to look forward to? Game day, that's what. While the temps are still low, there's no better feeling than gathering with friends for a couch- and vibes-based activity that's best enjoyed with snacks.
Cheering on your favorite team can cause severe mood swings, violent outbursts, and even, at times, tightness in your chest. It's why I'm a fair-weather fan. There's a backstory: I used to have a team. As a Baltimore native, when the Ravens came to our city in 1996, I was all in. After buying tons of black and purple, winning two Super Bowls, and then white knuckling through the lackluster seasons that followed, I decided to set a boundary for my own sanity.
Nearly two hours after beating the New England Patriots 29-13 at Levi's Stadium, Darnold strode through what normally is the 49ers' locker room and headed toward the far corner he occupied two years ago, when he was Brock Purdy's backup on another Super Bowl team that endured a much harsher outcome than this Sunday night's. "It feels good to be back in here. I love this locker room, love this stadium," Darnold said. "It's an unbelievable place."
Some blind and low-vision fans will have unprecedented access to the Super Bowl thanks to a tactile device that tracks the ball, vibrates on key plays and provides real-time audio. The NFL teamed up with OneCourt and Ticketmaster to pilot the game-enhancing experience 15 times during the regular-season during games hosted by the Seattle Seahawks, Jacksonville Jaguars, San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings.
Petal Kaddu is serious about eliciting high fives from passing fans-and isn't deterred by the steady rain over Wembley Way, between Wembley Park station and the UK's iconic national stadium. Under her poncho she's wearing a half-and-half scarf of the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Los Angeles Rams, today's teams. A Londoner of Guyanese heritage, she's a brand ambassador for the NFL London Games and has brought the energy to every one for the past four years.
