1 day agoLondon Pride boss sacked after allegedly spending donations on perfume
The chief executive of Pride in London was sacked for misusing volunteer vouchers and fostering a bullying culture.
After I had checked out and said my goodbyes, I walked through the gate to catch my ride to the airport. This volunteer then blocked my way and cornered me. She went on a yelling, screaming rant, saying that I hadn't left my private room (which I paid $100/night for) clean enough for her liking, and that it's not her job to clean up after me.
A multiprong strategy will work best. First, you may want to keep an eye on the volunteer signups and, if her name appears, open up another slot so that your bases are covered. Secondly, see if there's a member of your congregation who can act as a volunteer buddy. Is there someone who can foster a stronger relationship with her and reach out with reminders about events, or even offer rides or other help?
