AI Armor provides dynamic runtime security and relies on a central policy engine in the Universal Management Suite (UMS) to meet compliance requirements, ensuring that organizations can manage their security effectively.
The solution, according to Microsoft, is to get rid of it and buy a computer that can run Windows 11. But that's not good enough. This ThinkPad - like millions of other PCs in the same boat - is still perfectly functional.
Every iOS app I've shipped over the last nine years started the same way: a Rails developer with a great web app, users who want it in the App Store, and weeks spent on Xcode, signing certificates, and Swift boilerplate that has nothing to do with the actual product.
the Neo suitable for "lightweight computing and everyday productivity, document editing, and web-based apps" while running Windows 11. Parallels says the MacBook Neo's respectable single-core CPU performance keeps the Neo feeling "quick and responsive" when running multiple Windows-only software packages, including QuickBooks Desktop and other accounting apps, Microsoft Office
On the official Crimson Desert website, developer Pearl Abyss has delivered a chunky post breaking down five different sets of PC requirements for the upcoming open-world action RPG. Each set indicates the graphics preset being used - and crucially, the resolution and framerate targets you can expect with each.
The handheld features a 4.88-inch display with a resolution of 1080 × 1620 pixels and a 3:2 aspect ratio. This format is particularly appealing for retro gaming because it better accommodates older console titles that do not match modern widescreen displays. The panel is also noticeably sharper than the screen used in some competing handhelds, such as the Ayaneo Pocket Micro, which uses a smaller 3.5-inch display with a lower resolution.
Microsoft seems more determined than ever to combine Xbox and Windows - to the point that its next-gen Xbox, codenamed Project Helix, will play PC games too. Today, we learned Helix will go alpha in 2027. But the company isn't waiting for Helix before it points Windows gamers in the Xbox direction. Starting in April, it's bringing its full-screen Xbox mode to every kind of Windows 11 PC, including laptops, desktops, and tablets.
Gaming Linux FR is the first French-speaking video game community on Linux. We run a space where our members can share resources, knowledge, and experiences to fully enjoy gaming on Linux.
I've had several incarnations of the self-hosted home lab for decades. At one point, I had a small server farm of various machines that were either too old to serve as desktops or that people simply no longer wanted. I'd grab those machines, install Linux on them, and use them for various server purposes. Here are two questions you should ask yourself:
The platform will include hardware and software, Intel vice president and general manager of PC products, Daniel Rogers, announced at CES on Monday. It will be built off of the company's Intel Core Series 3 processors, known as Panther Lake, which was announced last year and is now being rolled out in a variety of PCs. This future platform includes a chip specifically for handheld gaming devices, according to reporting from IGN, which was confirmed by TechCrunch.
Aurora OS.js isn't just a web-based OS. It's a portal. Born from the intersection of digital art and cyberpunk culture, this project reimagines the operating system as an immersive game world. It is a high-fidelity hacking simulator built on modern web technologies (React, Vite, Electron), designed to blur the line between utility and gameplay. Currently in its pre-Alpha stage, it serves as the foundation for a future MMO hacking universe - a persistent world where you script, hack, and uncover the lore
I recently wrote about my migration away from VirtualBox to KVM/Virt-Machine for my virtual machine needs. I've found those tools to be far superior (albeit with a bit more of a learning curve) than VirtualBox. Since then, however, I've found another method of working with KVM (the Linux kernel virtual machine technology), one that not only allows me to create and manage virtual machines on my local computer, but also from any machine on my LAN. That tool is Cockpit, which makes managing your Linux machines considerably easier.
The Game Boy family of handheld consoles was groundbreaking, making gaming more accessible to millions worldwide. Nintendo's portables beat off technologically superior competition from the likes of Sega's Game Gear and Atari's Lynx. They became home to foundational moments for the medium, from what is still arguably the definitive version of Tetris to the birth of Pokémon. Yet with the iconic gray monolith launching in 1989, it's now pushing 40-and playing those important classics gets tougher every year.
Returning to old games isn't always easy. Depending on how old the game is, you might run into various problems, including unusual controls or compatibility issues. Another common point of friction you might encounter is an older game running poorly. This can make it a slog to replay some of the modern classics, even if they're just a decade or so old. So I'm happy to see Ubisoft going back and updating performance in games like Far Cry Primal and Assassin's Creed Unity.
The improved cross-device resume support, which has been in testing since August, is part of the latest Release Preview update to Windows 11 that started rolling out yesterday. It includes the ability to resume Spotify playback on a PC from a phone, as well as any work in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You'll also be able to continue an Edge browsing session from a phone on your PC.
The Analogue 3D finally launched late last year with four controller ports on the front supporting the N64's original wired gamepads. If you wanted to go wireless, your best option was the 8BitDo 64 which offered a similar button and joystick layout as the N64's original controllers, but with a modernized design. For a more authentic but conveniently wireless N64 experience, Analogue has released an update for the 3D today that adds support for Nintendo's modernized N64 controller.
The emotional hit was something I didn't expect, although perhaps I should have. The Commodore 64 Ultimate, a new version of the legendary 8-bit computer, comes in a box designed to resemble the original packaging a photo of the machine itself on a background of deep blue fading into a series of white stripes. Then when you open it, you find an uncannily accurate replica of what fans lovingly referred to as the breadbox the chunky, sloped Commodore 64, in hues of brown and beige,
The reason for this is Snap - a Linux application packaging format - creates a local Trash folder for each VS Code version, one that's separate from the system-managed Trash, according to a VS Code bug report dating back to November 11, 2024. Not only that, but Snap keeps older versions of VS Code after updates, potentially multiplying the number of local Trash folders and the trashed-but-not-deleted files therein. Emptying the system Trash folder doesn't affect the local instances.
