Separate the napkins so you're only using the top printed layer. Tear (don't cut) the napkins into smaller pieces-torn edges blend much more naturally. Brush a thin layer of varnish onto the egg. Gently place a napkin piece on top, then brush another thin layer of varnish over it to smooth it out.

I designed the sculpture so that, if it was vandalized, it would still be the same message, because the vandalizers would literally be ending ICE. Art has a lot of impacts on people, and it's a very emotional message and cause.

Over five years, the pair gathered furnishings, art, and antiques to shape an inviting ode to the past-snug and soulful, sentimental and nature-filled, with earthy colors offset by bold, saturated moments of Americana. When it comes to homemade pumpkin pies, George shares her experience from a self-instigated baking extravaganza.
