Ask any American what our citizenship rule is and they'll tell you, everyone born here is a citizen alike. That rule was enshrined in the 14th Amendment to put it out of reach of any government official to destroy.

A chief tenet of liberation is the freedom to define oneself while being accorded the rights and privileges established and guaranteed under law and social standing.

The law says consent cannot truly be given in those circumstances due to the power imbalance, and it also applies to a professor and a student, or a boss and an employee, or a therapist and a client.

Republican-appointed judges reversed a ruling which blocked the ban, arguing with little evidence that gender-affirming care for trans adults was "dangerous," urging states not to fund what it spuriously described as "experimental procedures." It further claimed that trans people had become "disdainful of their sex" and claimed, again without evidence, that banning such provisions would "encourage citizens to appreciate their sex."

Data on sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) are essential for understanding the characteristics of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) populations in the United States. However, on the first day of his second term, President Donald Trump issued an executive order that declared it was official policy of the administration that transgender, nonbinary, and intersex identities would not be recognized by the federal government.
