Weeds spread over an expanse of emptied lots, painting the blackened foundations and chimneys with swaths of green.
The fire has now been brought under control by firefighters but crews remain on scene to fully extinguish the fire and to dampen down. No one has been reported injured. People in the area were advised to keep their windows and doors closed at the height of the fire due to smoke travelling from the incident.
