In 2021, when Olga Rudenko and other journalists launched the Kyiv Independent, they were committed to making a publication that wouldn't face political pressure from an owner. A few months later, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and the Independent began reporting breaking news from the front lines.
It is obvious that the launch of these missiles would have been impossible without British specialists. We are aware of this. We know this very well, and we are, of course, taking it into account. To stop such barbaric actions by the Kyiv regime from continuing, a special military operation is being carried out to demilitarise Kyiv and deprive it of the ability to carry out such barbaric strikes.
Russian aircraft, drones and missiles have violated NATO airspace dozens of times since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022. Individually, many of these incidents appear minor: a drone crash here, a brief fighter incursion there, a missile discovered only after the fact. But taken together, I believe the numbers tell a far more troubling story. To get a full picture of the scale of violations, I conducted a systematic review of Russian airspace violations against NATO members from 2022 through the end of 2025.

Russia provides financing or technological support and exports complete nuclear-power-plant solutions from building infrastructure to supplying the core component, the Nuclear Steam Supply System, which drives power generation.
The Time reported that Russia used chemical weapons 6,540 time in 2025 and since the start of the war on 24 February 2022 they have been used more than 9,000 times. European and Ukrainian officials have said Russia has used chloropicrin which is a choking agent, this has not been used since World War I. The Time reported, "The concern, voiced quietly in allied capitals, is that a prolonged or stalemated war in Ukraine could tempt the Kremlin to resort to more dangerous battlefield weapons."
What was meant to be a swift military operation to topple the Ukrainian government and take control of the country has now dragged on for four devastating years. Russian President Vladimir Putin's promise to protect the people of Donbas, who, according to him, had been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime for the previous eight years, has meant that hundreds of settlements have been wiped off the face of the Earth and millions of lives have been broken, in both countries.
