Jornet's well-publicized States of Elevation project in 2025 was a feat in human endurance, mountain running, and planning. The Saucony Run Shoreditch Half will debut on Sunday September 20, 2026 - and it's from the same people who're behind the Hackney Half. The event began last year as a 10k, with runners starting in Shoreditch Park, winding through the boroughs of Hackney and Islington, then crossing the finish line back at the park. We don't know exactly what the half marathon route will look like yet, but we do know that it'll also start and end at Shoreditch Park.

On day five of an eight-day, 500-mile mountain bike race in Africa, Piers Constable found himself sprawled in the dirt for the second time. First he'd crashed on his left side, then on his right, until he was, in his own words, "muddied and bloodied," staring at a bike that was very much broken.
