Car seat misuse rates are pretty high right now. According to data from the National Digital Car Seat Check Form (NDCF), 74% of the almost 60,000 car seats that child passenger safety technicians (CPSTs) checked in 2025 were not being used as the manufacturer intended. The top culprits? Misused seat belts, harnesses and tethers.

Some 337,000 cars, 29,000 of them in Germany, covering five different models are "potentially concerned" by the safety issue, which concerns incorrect routing of the dashboard wiring, said the KBA. The recall concerns the i5, 5, M5, i7 and 7 models built between June 2022 and December 2025.

Tesla is recalling 12,963 electric cars built and sold in the United States this year, because they may lose power while driving. According to official documents submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the affected vehicles have been fitted with high-voltage battery contactors that have a faulty solenoid. The problematic solenoid may force the contactor to suddenly open due to a poor coil termination connection, which stops the flow of electricity from the main battery to the electric motor or motors.

Tesla is recalling more than 63,000 Cybertrucks in the U.S. because the front lights are too bright, which may cause a distraction to other drivers and increase the risk of a collision. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said that the recall includes certain Cybertrucks with a model year between 2024 and 2026. The vehicles were made between Nov. 13, 2023, and Oct. 11, 2025, with operating software versions prior to 2025.38.3.

Toyota is recalling nearly 400,000 vehicles because the rearview camera may not display when backing up, increasing the risk of a crash, federal traffic safety regulators said. Included in the recall are 2022-2025 Toyota Tundras and Tundra hybrids and 2023-2025 Sequoia hybrids. The number of automobiles in the recall total 393,838, with the non-hybrid Tundra making up more than half of them.
