It comes following the largest Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack ever recorded last November by a botnet - or hacking group - known as Kimwolf Irish households that possess a "dodgy box" or other unregulated streaming devices that they are vulnerable to cyber attacks increasingly nefarious in nature, Grant Thornton has warned. Google has been coveting lucrative TV ad budgets for more than a decade. But despite stats showing that an increasing amount of YouTube viewing takes place on TV sets in the living room, its ad sellers faced a hurdle. Many advertisers and agencies classified YouTube as "online video" or "social media," treating it as a separate part of the media plan from TV.

However, missing out on a limited-time showing or live broadcast can still cause anger and frustration. There's a simple and obvious solution in the form of DVRs or Digital Video Recorders, so you can enjoy all the thrill of watching your favorite sports team without the annoying commercials.
The Minister for Media, Patrick O'Donovan, has deactivated his X account, saying he is "uncomfortable" with the platform and its AI tool Grok, which has been criticised for allowing the creation of sexually-explicit images without consent. The Fine Gael TD confirmed the move after attending the Stripe Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition in Dublin yesterday, where he was questioned by media about the controversy surrounding Grok and the wider misuse of artificial intelligence.
If you're on a platform where this is allowed, I just don't feel comfortable," he said. "I don't feel comfortable with the fact that there's people that are going to use my image, or your image, or somebody else's image, and artificially generate something around it and maybe make it into something that you shouldn't publish.

But there are (much) smaller targets on the market: A+E Global Media, AMC Networks, Lionsgate, Starz, etc.

There's no masking the obvious - It looks like it wishes it didn't have to change. What else could they have done? Have any large TV companies embraced the world outside their own nation?
