Designers should code, and AI coding agents are bridging the gap between design and development.
Michelladonna goes around the world to celebrate the cats who live and work in bodegas, corner stores, and repair shops on her show, Shop Cats. The students are learning that the federal government and every state have laws establishing the public's right to request and receive public records. It's a bedrock principle of democracy: If a government belongs to the people, so do its documents.
The "Small Web," in Kagi's definition, includes sites created by individuals, like personal blogs, webcomics, independent videos, and more. These are the types of properties that formed the basis of the early web, before it became dominated by ad-supported business models and platforms controlled by large corporations.
Performance is a critical factor in user engagement, where even minor delays in loading can deter users. A clean and simple user interface also contributes significantly to user retention.
The Microsoft Advertising Regional Partner Awards is a prestigious event that aims to recognise and reward outstanding, creative, effective, and passionate work by search advertising individuals, teams, agencies, channel partners and technology partners working with Microsoft Advertising in Europe.
Award‑winning work stands out not only because it's creative, but because it drives real impact. The strongest entries share core qualities: clarity of purpose with well‑defined problems and bold visions, innovative use of data and technology to unlock insightful experiences, measurable results demonstrating credible business outcomes, and human‑centric design that elevates customer experience while respecting trust, privacy, and responsible AI principles.
Wave Browser is working to reverse that equation. Every time you surf the web, Wave Browser contributes to 4ocean's cleanup projects that focus on waterways across the globe, from the United States to the Dominican Republic, and Indonesia.
Yahoo's big AI play is, in many ways, actually a return to the company's roots. Three decades ago, Yahoo was known as "Jerry's guide to the world wide web," and was designed as a sort of all-encompassing portal to help people find good stuff on an increasingly large, hard-to-parse internet. In the early aughts, the rise of web search more or less obviated that whole idea. But now, Yahoo thinks, we've come back around.
What truly elevates an award‑winning campaign or product launch for me is the seamless integration of consumer‑centric insight, bold and thoughtful creative, and clearly defined objectives that drive long‑term brand equity - whether that's through converting at the most critical moments or bringing new shoppers into the category.
We've both fought against needless promotional content before and lamented that frontier AI platforms are falling into the same pattern. As designers and users, we've learned that "free" usually means putting up with interruptive, slightly creepy ads that feel more like a tax than a benefit - a frustration tax that now colors how we approach free‑tier services and now AI tools.
Netflix is bringing back the popular talent competition Star Search, with a twist: For the first time in its history, Netflix will let its audience decide the outcome of a show with live voting. However, unlike how shows have done this in the past, audiences won't have to send text messages or call a special number to make their votes count. Instead, viewers will vote with their TV's remote control, or right within the Netflix app if they watch the show on their phones.
Taking home the top prize, the Grand Prix, is Sips and Bites for its 'Doritos Silent' campaign, which saw it create the world's first AI-augmented snack. Despite being popular with gamers worldwide, Doritos had a problem in that its much-loved crunch disrupts and annoys other gamers subjected to the noise in their earphones. The brand turned this intrinsic snacking gripe into a marketing opportunity, creating the world's first AI-augmented snack that removes every Doritos crunch from every game.

As AI-generated answers increasingly influence buying decisions and brand discovery, teams face new operational questions: Where is the brand being referenced? Where is it missing? How does that representation shift over time? For agencies, the challenge expands to making AI visibility measurable and repeatable across multiple accounts and reporting cycles. "Agencies and start-ups aren't looking for another dashboard, they're looking for confidence,"

Design Lab's customisable controllers can be expensive coming in at 50% more the standard controllers. This created a barrier for the company when it came to purchases. In order to increase sales of Design Lab controllers and take cost out of the equation, MRM McCann and Xbox turned gamers into entrepreneurs. Fans could create their own designs and earn from those that sold. The more designs that sold, the more they earned.
"Although most brands have experimented with emerging tech, there is still a lot of IDK and WTF attached to AR, VR, AI, ML, NPC, NFT and web3," said Laws. "When you think that the metaverse and its associated technologies are projected to be worth almost $1.5trn dollars by 2029, that's either a lot of growth to miss out on or a lot of mis-invested budget for brand leaders to be accountable for through poor understanding and unfamiliarity."
